My Favorite Home Items Right Now
From robot vacuums and stain removers to protein ice cream and homemade lattes, these are the home items I genuinely use and love. They're practical, well-loved, and help make keeping a clean home and healthy lifestyle a little easier every day.

If you've read any of my other blog posts, you've probably figured out two things about me by now: I really like a clean home, and I really like things that make life easier.
The older I've gotten, the more I've realized how much my environment affects my mood. When my home feels cluttered, my mind feels cluttered. When dishes are piled up, laundry is everywhere, and dog hair is taking over the floors, I can feel my anxiety creeping up. On the other hand, when my space feels clean and organized, I feel calmer, more productive, and honestly just happier.
I've also become much more intentional about my health over the last few years. I try to eat better, move my body regularly, drink more water, and take better care of myself overall. Because of that, many of my favorite home items either help me keep my space clean or help me support healthy habits. None of these are life-changing miracle products, but they've all earned a permanent place in our apartment because they make everyday life a little easier.
1. Tina the Robot Vacuum
Let's start with arguably the hardest-working member of our household: Tina.
Yes, my robot vacuum has a name.
And yes, I love her.
We have a dog, wood floors, and large east-facing windows. Every morning, the beautiful sunrise streams through our apartment and highlights every single dog hair on the floor. It's honestly impressive how much dog hair one dog can produce. Before Tina came into our lives, I felt like I was constantly vacuuming. I could clean the floors one day and somehow by the next morning it looked like I hadn't touched them in a week.
Now Tina quietly goes out every day and takes care of the daily maintenance. Does she replace deep cleaning? Of course not. But she keeps everything looking nice between vacuuming sessions and saves me so much time. Could I vacuum every day myself? Technically. Am I going to vacuum every day myself? Absolutely not. Tina has become one of those purchases I never knew I needed until I had it.
2. The Bissell Little Green Machine
Continuing with the dog theme, let's talk about the Bissell Little Green Machine.
If you have pets, you probably already know why this made the list.
Between muddy paws, accidental spills, and the occasional mystery stain, life happens. Before we owned this little machine, stains seemed to become permanent residents in our apartment. We'd clean them as best we could, but there was always a faint reminder left behind.
Not anymore.
This thing has cleaned our carpet, couch, rugs, and even bedding. Every time I use it, I'm amazed by how much dirt and grime it pulls out. It's also one of those products that makes you feel weirdly accomplished afterward. There is something so satisfying about watching a stain disappear.
If you're a pet owner, I genuinely think this machine is worth every penny.
3. My Ninja Creami
This might be my favorite appliance in the entire apartment.
I love ice cream.
I also have fitness goals.
Thankfully, the Ninja Creami allows those two things to coexist peacefully.
Almost every night I make some version of protein ice cream. It has become one of my favorite healthy habits because it feels like dessert while still helping me hit my protein goals. My usual base is a protein shake, and then I add toppings depending on what sounds good that day.
Crushed almonds, trail mix, peanut butter, and my personal favorite—Simple Mills Chocolate Brownie crackers—are all regular additions.
The best part is that it doesn't feel like I'm eating a "healthy version" of dessert. It genuinely tastes good. I look forward to it every evening, and it helps keep me from reaching for less nutritious late-night snacks. Some people meal prep chicken and rice. I meal prep protein ice cream.
4. My Ninja Blender
I've had my Ninja blender since my freshman year of college, and somehow it's still going strong.
That blender has survived college, dental hygiene school, multiple moves, and countless smoothie-making sessions. At this point, it's basically part of the family.
I use it constantly for smoothies and smoothie bowls because they're one of the easiest ways for me to get extra nutrition into my day. Most of my smoothies include fruit, Greek yogurt, collagen, and usually a handful of spinach.
Do I always want spinach? Not particularly.
Can I taste the spinach after it's blended with fruit? Not at all.
Which makes it the perfect system.
Smoothies have become one of my favorite ways to get extra protein and nutrients when life gets busy. They're quick, easy, and require very little effort, which is exactly what I need some mornings.
5. Our Espresso Machine
There was a time in my life when I drank plain black coffee every morning.
That version of me no longer exists.
Now I absolutely love making protein lattes at home.
Our espresso machine has turned coffee into a little morning ritual that I genuinely look forward to. Instead of rushing through my morning, I take a few extra minutes to make something I enjoy. It's one of those small moments that makes an ordinary weekday feel a little more special.
Not only am I saving money compared to stopping at a coffee shop every day, but I'm also finding easy ways to add a little extra protein into my mornings. It's a simple habit, but it's one that brings me a lot of joy.
Final Thoughts
As much as I love trying new products, I've learned that my favorite purchases are usually the practical ones. They're the things that save me time, support healthy habits, help keep my home clean, and make everyday life a little easier.
None of these items are particularly glamorous, but every single one gets used regularly. Whether it's Tina handling the dog hair, the Little Green Machine saving the couch, the Creami helping me enjoy ice cream while still working toward my goals, or my espresso machine making mornings feel a little cozier, they've all earned their spot in our home.
I'm sure this list will continue to grow as we move into different seasons of life and eventually have a house of our own. But for now, these are the favorites that make our apartment feel a little cleaner, a little healthier, and a whole lot more enjoyable.
